Privacy Policy

1 Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how the ASO Genius Free Chrome extension (“the Extension”, “we”, “our”), published by Appsgain Technologies, handles information. It applies to the Extension and this marketing website. By installing or using the Extension, you agree to this policy.

2 Who we are

The Extension is developed by Appsgain Technologies, a Digital Marketing, AI Automation, SaaS, and Software Development company, founded by Prashant Singh Kushwaha. We are not affiliated with Google LLC. “Google Play” is a trademark of Google LLC.

3 What we collect

We collect nothing. The Extension does not have a backend server and does not send your data to us or to any third party for our benefit. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, address, phone).
• Authentication information or passwords.
• Browsing history, location, or analytics about your activity.
• The contents of pages you visit (beyond what is processed locally to produce an on-device audit).

4 Data stored locally on your device

To make the Extension useful, the following is saved only on your device using the Chrome storage API (chrome.storage.local). It never leaves your browser unless you export it yourself:

• Audits & history — the ASO analysis of the Google Play listings you choose to audit (app name, developer, ratings shown on the page, visible reviews sample, screenshots URLs, computed scores).
• Preferences — theme (light/dark), your target keywords, export filename, history limit.
• Optional AI key — if you add a Google Gemini API key, it is stored locally and used only to call Google's API directly from your browser.

You can view, export, back up, restore, or delete this data at any time from the Extension's dashboard and settings pages.

6 Optional AI feature (Google Gemini)

The AI feature is off by default. If you enable it and provide your own Google AI Studio (Gemini) API key, the Extension sends the relevant listing text and your API key directly from your browser to Google's Generative Language (Gemini) API to generate suggestions. This data goes to Google, governed by Google's Privacy Policy, and never passes through Appsgain Technologies. You can disable the feature or remove your key at any time.

7 Competitor data

When you choose to “Compare competitors”, the Extension fetches the publicly visible Google Play listing pages of similar apps (from play.google.com) to read their public rating and description length for comparison. No personal data is involved and nothing is sent to us.

8 No tracking, ads, or analytics

The Extension contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and no telemetry. We do not build user profiles and we do not sell or transfer user data to anyone.

9 Data retention & deletion

Because data is stored only on your device, you control retention. Delete individual audits, clear all history, or remove your AI key from the Extension at any time. Uninstalling the Extension removes its locally stored data from your browser.

10 Third-party services

• Google Play — the Extension reads publicly visible app listing pages you open. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Gemini API — used only if you enable the optional AI feature with your own key (see section 6).

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties; their respective policies apply.

11 Children

The Extension is a professional developer/marketing tool and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

12 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Extension after changes means you accept the revised policy.
